Ahmedabad has one of India's densest concentrations of laminate suppliers, from S.G. Highway showrooms to wholesale markets. The difference between a smooth project and a delayed one is usually the supplier, not the sheet. Use this checklist before you place an order.
1. Check stock depth, not catalogue size
Every supplier shows thousands of designs. Ask how many of your shortlisted codes are physically in stock right now, and how many sheets per code. A design that has to be indented can add two to four weeks to your site schedule.
2. Confirm thickness and grade in writing
Decorative laminates are sold in 0.8mm, 1mm and thicker compact grades. Get the nominal thickness, the intended application (vertical or horizontal) and the design code on the quotation. Two quotes are only comparable when these three match.
3. Ask about batch matching
Laminate shade varies slightly between production batches. For a kitchen or a full office fit-out, insist that all sheets of a code come from the same batch, or that the balance quantity is reserved until the job finishes.
4. Inspect a full 8x4 sheet
Catalogue chips hide the repeat of a woodgrain or marble vein. View the full sheet under natural light and under the shop's artificial light before committing. Any credible Ahmedabad supplier will display full sheets.
5. Verify delivery and after-sales terms
Confirm the dispatch time, freight responsibility, damage policy and what happens if a sheet delaminates during fabrication. Written warranty terms on the invoice matter more than a verbal assurance.
6. Match the substrate
The best laminate on poor plywood still fails. For kitchens and bathrooms, pair the laminate with BWP IS:710 grade plywood and a good synthetic rubber contact adhesive.
Royal Feel Laminates supplies laminates, BWP plywood and acrylic from a single point in Ahmedabad, with a full-sheet display at the Experience Centre near Gota Flyover, S.G. Highway. Share your design codes and quantity for a written quotation.
